Abstrak

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by Aedes spp. mosquitoes and is prevalent in tropical and subtropical climates. The transmission of dengue fever is closely associated with people’s daily habits, where factors influencing disease emergence are impacted by human behaviors as hosts and Aedes spp mosquitoes as vectors for transmitting dengue fever. The breeding sites of Aedes spp. contribute to the increased mosquito population, further facilitating the transmission of dengue fever to humans. Research on peat water as a habitat for Aedes spp. larvae holds significant importance in controlling dengue vectors, particularly in areas like Palangka Raya City, where water pH tends to be acidic. The adaptability of Aedes spp. larvae to such acidic conditions necessitates further investigation.
